222.230 DIgital Animation: Research

Some research / ideas that I have been looking at and developed through the pages. I initially looked at a general range of inanimate objects with faces on, (I was after the whole 'cute' kind of look so that's what I looked at), then on the second page I looked more into food with faces, on the third, I looked into oranges, and on the third I did some research on 'kawaii' which means 'cute' in Japan, which was pretty much the kind of look I was after.

Rendering tests

Some renderings that I tested through photoshop, trying out dirfferent materials looks and colours, found it very difficult to create 'photo realistic' renders.

Photoshop render development

Since I liked the look of the white plastic render, I decided to develop my renderings further to create a more 'photo realistic' look. I still found it difficult, but think I kind of got there in the end.

leet

'leet' the future of gaming. The name is derived from computer hackers, that used a language to communicate with each other. The correct spelling is: 1337, but is pronounced 'leet' hence the name. (It's short for the word: Elite)

This chair is designed to be visually attractive, as well as comfortable. I wanted to go for a very simple look, without all the extra add ons, like 'vibrations, cup holders' etc because I think that in this case: simpler is better. I like to be immersed in my game, when playing, not the chair. I just need the chair to be comfortable, and then look good when guests are over!

You can also store games and consoles in the grooves below the seat, and leet is available in three colours: sky blue, grass green and sea blue.
